ORAL PRESENTATION FOR THE SECOND MID-TERM EXAM.
I have already left at fotocopaidoras Humanidades and Carpe Dien the instructions for the Oral Presentation that will form part of the Second Mid term Exam. The guys at Fotocopiadora filed the guide under the name “Presentación Oral”. The dates for the Oral Presentation will be published during the 3rd week of October. Nevertheless, you can start working on it.
* You’ll have to work in groups of 3 sts. (no more than this number, please), so think who you’re going to work with.
* Start looking at different course-books and decide which ones you’re going to analyze.
* Browse the Internet for websites that deal with pronunciation practice so you can start working on Part C of the Oral Presentation.
* Get hold of the bibliography for the teaching and practice of pronunciation (you can download many books from www.englishtips.org) and analyze and choose those activities that can be used for Part B.
* Read the "Oral Presentation Tips and Comments" so you can use them while preparing your presentation.
You can start with all this regardless the date of your oral presentation or the sounds you’ll have to work with. If you happen to have any questions, ask me, Laura or Claudia in class. See you

New Material at Fotocopiadora
Dear students.
I have already left at fotocopiadora de Humanidades and Carpe Diem a copy of the video guide for the film you have to watch for next oral exam. I have also included an article by J. C. Wells “Whatever Happened to Received Pronunciation”. This article explores deeply the changes of RP that we dealt with last week. It’ll be also useful for the analysis of King George VI’s public speech that you have in the video guide.
The oral exam will include the discussion of all the points included in the video guide plus the material you recorded at the lab and the dialogues from Clusters practised in class. Please, read the video guide carefully and start working with the activities as soon as possible. If you happen to have any questions ask Claudia, Laura or me in class. See you
