PROCESS TRANSCRIPTIONS

Hello sts!!
This term we´ll keep doing transcription practice and we shall b working with different draughts of the same text during the whole course. Please read the guidelines below thoroughly:

First draught:
·        Select a text (approximate number of words 300) and transcribe it  in phonetics.
·        Mark allophones as stated in the schedule (plosive consonants)
·        Carry out self-corrections using the dictionary
·        Use a colour pen for marking mistakes
·        Complete the self-assessment rubric featuring main difficulties
·        Hand in on the assigned date
Second draught:
·        Once you´ve got your paper back, re-write it including all the corrections carried out by the teacher
·        Add allophones of further groups of consonants as stated in the schedule (plosive and fricative consonants)
·        Hand in again
Third draught:
·        Once again, re-write your second draught including all the corrections made by the teacher
·        Add allophones of further groups of consonants as stated in the schedule (plosive, fricative, and liquid consonants- semivowels)
·        Hand in again. Make sure you attach all the copies.
Make-up draught
If you failed to submit any of the previous draughts, produce a copy including the allophones of all the English consonants.
Submission dates
First draught: September 10 (feature allophones of plosive consonants)
Second draught: October 2 (feature allophones of plosive and fricative consonants)
Third draught: Oct 30 (feature allophones of plosive, fricative and liquid consonants-semivowels)
Make-up draught: November 13 (feature allophones of all the English consonants)
Make sure you include an ordinary spelling copy of the passage of your choice- thank you!
